Our Process
1. Collaboration
Estimated Time: One Week
We’ll talk about your signage goals and ask you some questions about: your location, sign options, design requirements, budget, etc.
This is also the perfect opportunity to ask us any questions you may have. There’s no pressure, and if we both feel that we’d be a good fit, we move forward to the next step.
2. Survey
Estimated Time: Three Days
We’ll schedule an on-site survey at a time that works for you. Our technicians will visit your business location. We’ll take photos and measurements of where your sign will be installed. We’ll also need architecturally scaled site plans of the property (typically provided by the landlord).
3. Design & Approval
Estimated Time: One Week
Once the survey is complete, we’ll send you design mock-ups and estimate options for you to review and choose from. We’ll make adjustments as needed, based on your feedback. Once you’re happy with the design, we can submit it to your landlord for approval as well..
4. Permitting
Estimated Time: Three to Five Weeks
Once the design is approved and finalized, we require a down payment of 50% of the total project estimate. When payment is received, we submit your signage permit applications to your city/county planning departments.
How long it takes for approval depends on a number of factors, such as: the type of sign, strictness of your city’s regulations, etc. A typical exterior LED channel letter sign takes around 3-5 weeks for approval.
5. Fabrication
Estimated Time: Two to Three Weeks
The fun part begins! Our fabricators will begin crafting your sign as soon as your permit is issued. Again, the timeframe depends on the type of sign, complexity of your design, any special materials used, special size requirements, etc. But this phase typically takes 2-3 weeks.
6. Installation
Estimated Time: One week
Upon nearing completion of your sign fabrication, we’ll contact you to schedule an installation date at your convenience. Your sign is tested for 24 hours (electrical testing) prior to installation.
Our technicians will safely transport your sign to your business location. The actual installation itself typically takes anywhere between 2-8 hours, depending on the complexity. We’ll confirm you’re pleased with your new sign, and the remaining 50% payment is due upon completion.
